PDT-induced survival signaling. Genes are mapped that are involved in MAP3K5 (also known as ASK-1) signaling (a), NFE2L2 signaling (b), and the unfolded protein response following PDT (c). The color and intensity of the box indicates the direction and extent of the log2 fold-change for the indicated gene, respectively (lower right corner of each panel). Grey boxes signify probes that exhibited poor quality or were not included in the gene expression analysis. Each gene box, which typically comprises multiple probes as indicated by vertical splits, is horizontally divided in two halves corresponding to the PDT regimens (legend lower left). All comparisons were made between the PDT-treated groups versus the control group. Dashed lines indicate interactions that are not directly transcriptionally regulated.
