Histone deacetylase inhibitors caussed apoptotic cell death in ATC and PTC cells. Immunoblot analyses suggested that the indicated inhibitors increased the levels of apoptotic proteins and reduced those of anti-apoptotic proteins in ATC and PTC cells (a). An electrophoretic mobility shift assay was carried out using a 32P-labeled oligonucleotide probe for the NF-κB binding sites on the Bcl-2 promoter (b).
