In vitro assay on phagocytic effect of activated macrophages against human tumor cells with or without mCD47 expression. Activated RAW 264.7 mouse macrophages were co-cultured with either PC3-mCD47 and PC3-GFP-Luc cell pair (a) or HCT116-mCD47 and HCT116-GFP-Luc cell pair (b). Tumor cell viability was determined by measuring intracellular luciferase activity and was presented as relative light unit (RLU). Cancer cells without macrophages co-culturing (the last column of each figure) were used as a positive control and macrophages without tumor cells were used as the negative control for the assay.
