Silver nanoparticles (10–100 nm) are not cytotoxic to human keratinocytes. HaCaT cells grown in 96 well plates (1×104 cells/well) were treated with AgNPs (1–10 μg/mL) of different size (10, 20, 40 and 100 nm) for 12 and 24 h. After treatment, the percent viability of cells was measured by WST-1 assay as per manufacturer’s instructions. The absorbance value of control cells was taken as 100 % viable and percent viability was calculated using the formula (absorbance of treated cells)/ (absorbance of control cells) × 100.
