Ectopic miR-224 expression altered the ability of ESCC cell migration and invasion. Esophageal cancer Eca109 and TE13 cell lines were grown and transiently transfected with miR-224 mimics or inhibitor, and then subjected to migration and invasion assays. The data showed that overexpression of miR-224 significantly promoted migration and invasion of Eca109 and TE13 cells, whereas anti-miR-224 significantly suppressed migration and invasion.
