SMC1A staining is demonstrated mainly at the membrane of tumor cells. Positive cells were stained brown. The intensity of SMC1A staining was assigned the following scores: negative = − (A), slightly positive = + (B), moderately positive = ++ (C) and strongly positive = +++ (D).
