SXR induced apoptosis is p53 dependent. A) MCF-7 cells were transiently transfected with siRNA specific against p53 (siRNA) or scrambled siRNA (SCR) (50 nM each). The knockdown efficiency was measured by measuring mRNA (A) or protein levels of p53 (B) after 48 and 72 hours of transfection respectively.
