The cytotoxic effect of LfcinB and KW5 against FEMX and HT-29 cells, in the presence of soluble heparin and chondroitin sulfate. The results are shown as the mean IC50 value ± SEM (n = 5) of LfcinB and KW5 against FEMX (A) and HT-29 (B) cells, in the presence of soluble heparin and chondroitin sulfate. The IC50 values obtained from cell cultures containing 10 μg/ml soluble heparin were compared with cell cultures containing 10 μg/ml soluble CS by an unpaired t-test (GraphPad). The same comparison was performed between cell cultures containing 100 μg/ml soluble heparin and 100 μg/ml soluble CS. P values are shown as follows: ** P < 0.01 and *** P < 0.001.
