  1. Expression of nestin was examined on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue specimens of osteosarcomas using immunohistochemistry. % TC, percentage of nestin positive tumor cells (+/-, <2 %; +, 2–10 %; ++, 11–50 %; +++, 51–100 %). IR TC, intensity of immunostaining (immunoreactivity) in tumor cells (+/-, very weak; +, weak; ++, medium; +++, strong). IR EC, intensity of immunostaining (immunoreactivity) in endothelial cells (+/-, very weak; +, weak; ++, medium; +++, strong).
