Aliquots of gastrocnemius muscle homogenates were loaded onto SDS-PAGE gels (5 μg protein/well) and, after electrophoresis, the proteins were transferred to nylon membranes and blotted with antibodies to eIF2α and eIF5 (1:1500 dilution).
