(A and B) TGZ inhibits ES-2 cell migration in a wound healing assay. Cells were wounded and then treated with vehicle (DMSO) or TGZ (5–30 μM) for 8 h (grey column) and 24 h (black column) in 10% FBS-containing medium. At 0, 8 and 24 h, phase-contrast pictures of the wounds at three different locations were taken and then migrated cells in the wound were counted. # P < 0.05 vs. 8 h untreated cells and *P < 0.05 vs. 24 h untreated cells. (C) CGZ inhibits ES-2 cell migration in a wound healing assay. Cells were treated with various concentrations of CGZ (5–30 μM) and then the migrated cells were counted after treatment for 24 h. *P < 0.05 vs. control. (D) TGZ inhibits migration of ES-2 cells in a transwell assay. ES-2 cells (1 × 105) were treated with vehicle (DMSO) or TGZ (10 or 20 μM) for 5 h at 37°C and cell motility was determined as described in Materials and Methods. *P < 0.001 vs. DMSO treatment.
