From: Identification of genes associated with cisplatin resistance in human oral squamous cell carcinoma cell line

Figure 1

Response of Tca/cisplatin and Tca8113 cells to cisplatin. A: Dose-growth rate curve plotted from the MTT assay results. Both cell lines displayed dose-dependent growth inhibition, but the Tca/cisplatin cells were more resistant to the antiproliferative activity of cisplatin (P = 0.0000, ANOVA analysis). Each point was the mean of six independent experiments. B: Dose-viability curve was plotted from the Annexin-V/PI assay results. There was a dose-dependent decrease in viability in both cell lines, but the decrease was more rapid in the Tca8113 cells (P = 0.0000, ANOVA analysis). Each point was the mean of three independent experiments. C: Scatter plots of Annexin V/PI staining. As the cisplatin dose increased, the apoptosis rates (UR+LR) also gradually increased, but the increase was more rapid in Tca8113 cells than in Tca/cisplatin cells (P = 0.0000, ANOVA analysis). Each figure represents three independent experiments.
