Somatic (T lanes) and paired germline (N lanes) genotypes at the microsatellite marker BAT26 detected by autoradiography in 5 normal/normal pairs are shown. New somatic alleles (lanes T) (tumours 2 and 4) compared to germline genotypes (lanes N), as indicated by the arrows, are indicative of MSI.
