Psammaplin A inhibited ssDNA binding activity of RPA. Indicated amount of either human RPA or a mixture of both RPA and psammaplin A were combined with 32P-labeled oligo(dT)50 and incubated for 15 min at room temperature. The protein-DNA complexes were then separated from unbound DNA by 5% polyacrylamide (acrylamide:bisacrylamide, 29:1) gel electrophoresis.
