Fenofibrate induces apoptosis of MDA-MB-231 cells. (A, B) Fenofibrate induced apoptosis of MDA-MB-231 cells in a time- and dose-dependent manner. (C) Western blot analysis confirmed that fenofibrate dramatically up-regulated the expression of Bad and down-regulated the expressions of Bcl-xl and Survivin and finally induced cleavage of caspase-3, but had no impact on BID and Bcl-2.
