Fluoxetine enhances glial activation in the vicinity of brain metastatic tumors. Brain sections were stained with the following antibodies to assess glial activation - Iba-1, CD11b, IA-IE, CD68, CD45, and GFAP. Images of tumors were analyzed to compare the expression of these markers (fraction of total pixels that were immunopositive) within 400 μm of the edge of metastatic tumors, following fluoxetine treatment. *p < 0.05; **p < 0.01; ***p < 0.001, 2-way ANOVA with Bonferroni post hoc analysis. n = 20-24 tumors per group, 5–6 animals per group.
