Estimation of cell survival by trypan blue staining. (A) Trypan blue cell counting assay was done, on the 6thday, post transfection of all AFP promoter/enhancer driven c-Myc shRNA constructs in HepG2 cells. The decrease in cell survival corroborated with the MTT assay and was found to be significant, when compared to their respective scrambled controls (p < 0.05). (B) In the case of Chang Liver cells, significant decrease in the cell viability was observed only by CMVPr – myc (p < 0.001) as the AFP promoter enhancer system was inactive in it.
