Derivative 4 can induce apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 cells. MDA-MB-231 cells were incubated with or without cytotoxic compounds for 4 h and 24 h, and were stained with the Apo-TRACE cell staining kit followed by fluorescence imaging studies. (a) Cells treated with 4 lead to an early induction of apoptosis than NS.
