Activation of receptor tyrosine kinase
signaling pathways induced ACSVL3 expression in GBM stem cell enriched neurospheres. A. Incubation with EGF (30 ng/ml) or HGF (20 ng/ml) for 48 hours induced ACSVL3 expression in HSR-GBM1A, HSR-GBM1B and two primary low passage neurosphere cultures from GBM patients (JHH612, JHH626). B. Cells were pre-incubated with a small-molecule inhibitor of c-Met, SU11274 (20 μmol/L) for 6 hours and then treated with HGF (20 ng/mL) for 48 hour prior to immunoblotting analysis. Inhibition of the HGF/c-Met pathway reversed ACSVL3 induction by HGF.
