Rac and Rho GTPase inhibitors have differential effects on migration and invasion in response to LPA, HGF and EGF. MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with inhibitors of the Rho pathway using C3 or Y-27632 (A, B, C), or the Rac pathway with NSC23766 (D, E) as described in the Methods section, and assayed for their ability to migrate (A, D) or invade (B, C, E) toward various growth factors as described in Figure 2. Data are representative of a minimum of three independent assays for each condition. Statistically significant differences between stimulated and stimulated plus inhibitor-treated cell conditions only were determined using a t-test (*p < 0.02).
