In all grade, the patients treated with gefitinib had a significantly higher frequency of liver dysfunction than did patients treated with erlotinib (*p = 0.003). In grade ≥ 2, liver dysfunction occurred significantly more often in the gefitinib group than in the erlotinib group (*p = 0.04).
