CD44s is overexpressed in tamoxifen-resistant breast cancer cells. (A) mRNA expression of CD44s was investigated through RT-PCR [L=DNA ladder; M=MCF7; T=TamR]. (B) Analysis of CD44s upregulation at the protein level in tamoxifen-resistant (TamR) cells was confirmed by Western blotting. (C) Immunohistochemical staining of TamR cells demonstrated significantly elevated levels of CD44 staining compared with their endocrine-sensitive counterparts (C, scale bar represents 20 μm).
