Osteosarcoma cells form sarcospheres in serum-free medium and grow in an anchorage-independent manner. (A) Monolayer culture of parental MNNG/HOS cell line. (B) Spherical colonies (sarcospheres) generated from single-cell suspensions of MNNG/HOS cells cultured in serum-free medium supplemented with growth factors in non-adherent conditions after 10 days.
