5-dAzaC effect on HSD17B1 protein levels in HT29 and SW707 colorectal cancer cells. Cells were cultured in phenol red free DMEM media for 6, 12, 24, 36 and 48 h either in the absence or in the presence of 5-dAzaC at a concentration of 0.33, 0.66 and 1.00 μM. The cell protein was separated by 12% SDS-PAGE, and transferred to a membrane that was then immunoblotted with Gp anti-HSD17B1 Ab and incubated with donkey anti-goat HRP-conjugated Ab. The membrane was then reblotted with anti β-actin HRP-conjugated Ab. The band densitometry readings were normalized to β-actin loading control.
