Table 7 IC50 values for the induction of cell death and reduction of cell number in T29 cells treated with HB-19 and related multivalent pseudopeptides.

From: Targeting surface nucleolin with multivalent HB-19 and related Nucant pseudopeptides results in distinct inhibitory mechanisms depending on the malignant tumor cell type

Cell number: IC50 72 hours post-passage

HB-19 (pentavalent)

N3 (pentavalent)

> 20 μM

N6 (hexavalent)

  1. T29 cells were passaged in the presence of HB-19, N3, N6, N7, and N6L at various concentrations 0, 2.5, 5, 10 and 20 μM for 3 days. Twenty-four hours after the treatments, cell death was monitored by the uptake of trypan blue. The number of viable cells at 3 days post-treatment was used to estimate the IC50 values for the reduction of cell number. The pseudopeptides represent pentavalently or hexavalently the pseudo-tripeptide Lysψ(CH2N)-Pro-Arg (Figure 1).
