From: c-Myc activates BRCA1 gene expression through distal promoter elements in breast cancer cells
Examination of HR activity using DR-GFP reporter. MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with c-Myc siRNA or control siRNA, then the DR-GFP reporter plasmids with different combinations were co-transfected into cells as indicated in E. The percentage of GFP positive cell was determined by a flow cytometer using detector FL-1 (green) vs FL-2 (orange), the HR efficiency represented as the frequency of GFP-positive cell.
