  1. The data show the effects of the test substances on the cell cycle of A549, FaDu and H1299 cells after exposure for 1 day (average ± SD of 6 independent experiments). Significant differences (p < 0.05) to control cultures are indicated in bold print.
  2. 1The distribution of cells in different cell cycle phases was calculated from the population of cycling cells (G0 + 1 + S + G2 + M = 100%).
  3. 2The percentage of hypodiploid cells (<2C DNA content) was calculated from the total number of cells.
  4. 3Since the test compounds were dissolved in a DMSO stock solution, control cells cultures were made in 14 mM (0.1%) DMSO.
