Schematic representation of the p53-responsive pCLPG retroviral vectors. These vectors contain a p53-responsive element, called PG, inserted in the retroviral long terminal repeat. This modification results in p53-dependent transgene expression [21, 22]. R U5, native regulatory elements of the Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus long terminal repeat; SV40, simian virus 40 promoter; NeoR, neomycin phosphotransferase cDNA which confers resistance to the antibiotic G418; eGFP, enhanced green fluorescent protein; p19, mouse p19Arf cDNA.
