EGCG inhibits colony formation of MCF-7 cells on soft agar. Cell suspensions were mixed with 0.3% agar in the culture medium with EGCG. After 10 days of incubation at 37°C in a 5% CO₂ incubator, colonies were counted. Representative phase contrast images are shown. The data are represented of the average number of colonies per plate as determined from three separate experiments. Asterisk, P < 0.001, significantly different from control.
