Thioglycolate elicited SR/CR macrophages and neutrophils were adoptively transferred into WT RAG1-/- mice. The WT RAG1-/- recipients were challenged the following day with S180, and their survival was monitored. Survival of SR/CR Nos2-/- recipients was intermediate, indicating that nitric oxide was one of the effector mechanisms used by SR/CR macrophages and neutrophils to kill cancer.Back to article page
